Johnny Presley, PA

Johnny Presley is a highly respected Physician Assistant with over 30 years of experience in Internal Medicine. A native of Crossville, Tennessee, Johnny is not only a seasoned medical professional but also a visionary healthcare entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Presley Healthcare, LLC, a company that operates multiple rural clinics, hospitals, and a staffing agency dedicated to supporting underserved communities.

 

Johnny is currently affiliated with Big South Fork Medical Center, where he provides staffing and  critical care in the Emergency Department. Throughout his career, he has served in hospitals across Jellico, Jamestown, Celina, and Crossville, building a reputation for excellence in rural healthcare.

 

Education has always been a priority for Johnny. After graduating from Cumberland County High School in 1985, he earned degrees from Roane State Community College and Tennessee Tech. He later completed his bachelor’s in science and a postgraduate Physician Assistant program at Trevecca Nazarene University.

 

Beyond his clinical work, Johnny is a lifelong public servant. He began his medical journey in 1985 as an EMT and later served on the Cumberland County Board of Education (1998–2002). He spent eight years on the Tennessee Committee of Physician Assistants, including four years as chairman.

 

Johnny's contributions have not gone unnoticed. He was named the 2017 Top Physician/Physician Assistant of Crossville and was honored as the 2004 Physician Assistant of the Year by the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants. He holds the rare and prestigious title of Lifetime HERO Physician Assistant, an honor granted to only three individuals nationwide.

 

In addition to his medical and leadership roles, Johnny is a successful entrepreneur with ventures outside of healthcare. He’s also a passionate farmer and family man who enjoys time with his two children and his grandson. Most recently, Johnny was elected President of the Tennessee Association of Physician Assistants in 2025 and has even ran for the U.S. Senate to represent his home state of Tennessee.

 

Johnny Presley’s career is a testament to dedication, service, and a deep commitment to improving healthcare in rural America.
